Jason Blum Official Poster For ‘Five Nights at Freddy’s’

On May 16th at 6pm Blumhouse founder and CEO Jason Blum took to Twitter and revealed the official first poster the highly anticipated film ‘Five Nights at Freddy’s’. The poster was revealed after an hourly countdown was continuously posted by Blum on his Twitter account.

Many fans were speculating that a possible trailer was to be released at the end of the countdown with the trailer supposedly leaking earlier this month. However, fans are very excited at the reveal as the poster displays the iconic four animatronics Freddy Fazbear, Bonnie the Bunny, Chica the Chicken (holding her iconic pink cupcake) and Foxy the Pirate all with glowing red eyes. The poster’s tagline reads ‘Can you survive’ atop the official logo for the film as well as the release date of October 27th.

The film stars Matthew Lillard (Scream, Scooby Doo, 13 Ghosts), Josh Hutcherson (Zathura, Polar Express, The Hunger Games), and Elizabeth Lail (Countdown, Mack and Rita). The film is directed by Emma Tammi (Blood Moon, The Wind) and written by Emma Tammi, Seth Cuddeback (Mateo) and the games creator Scott Cawthon.

The game of the same name was released in 2014 and garnered a cult following through multiple sequels and fan projects with this being it’s first film adaptation, with supposedly more to come due to recent contract negotiations between Blumhouse and Matthew Lillard.

The film will be released in theaters and on Peacock on October 27th (funny enough the same day as ‘Saw X’).

With all this information it likely won’t be long before we see an official trailer for the film, with some speculating that the trailer will release in theaters for ‘The Boogeyman’ on June 2nd 2023.

Now only one question remains, are you ready for Freddy?
